Circulation
juice enters the top head of the vessel and passes into a distribution
chamber and then into a stainless steel wedgewire cylindrical screen.
The screen contains an electrically driven wiper frame with aluminium
bronze wiper blades spring loaded onto the internal surface of the
screen. The rotation of the wiper gear removes pulp accumulating
on the screen which collects in the bottom compartment of the vessel.
Screened circulation juice is discharged from the bottom of the cylindrical
portion of the vessel. Collected pulp in the bottom cone of
the vessel is discharged periodically under the influence of a timed
discharge valve. |
